Starting out as an electronic music producer in Los Angeles, CA, Travis Corwin now lives and produces in the Bay Area. He has been performing and producing electronic music since his freshman year at San Francisco State University in 2008. Now a senior at San Francisco Art Institute studying Design and Technology, Travis Corwin still enjoys the casual jam session with friends. His tracks are composed and performed live on Ableton, a sound producing software. Travis Corwin creates his original sound by incorporating both electronic and non-electronic instruments. By using cut up audio samples from vinyl and tape, he is able to create a warmer, classic analog sound. The result of this technique is a mixture of cosmic and aquatic sounds. Travis Corwin has toured and played shows with
many other local SF producers from the likes of Mark Aubert, Shlohmo and D33J. He has recently been involved in a couple different collaborations, including Waverace and Van der graaff, creating abstract sound pieces and audio-visual shows. You can usually catch him playing shows at art galleries and small venues in San Francisco and Los Angeles. Check out Travis Corwin performing his hit song, Crossfire!
